In recent weeks I have been averaging 3-5 phone calls or e mails a day from residents of Greenburgh who are out of work seeking help. Some people who have contacted me were high level people in finance and reside in the wealthiest sections of town. Others have held lower paying jobs and would be happy with clerical positions.
At the same time, some neighbors have been advising me of job openings that they are aware of. I have been circulating the information to unemployed Greenburgh residents who ask that they be placed on an e list. Some people have contacted me advising me that they are now employed or have been interviewed, thanks to the this service.
WIth unemployment increasing - I need your help. Will you consider spending 5 minutes a month approaching the personnel office at your business, agency. Please ask them if they have any job openings. If they do, you should e mail the information to me and I will immediately share the info with people who have asked to be placed on an e mail alert listing of job openings. I will also post the information on my facebook page.
