MAJOR SIDEWALK ON BENEDICT NEARING COMPLETION
  A MAJOR NEW SIDEWALK ON BENEDICT AVE IN UNINCORPORATED GREENBURGH IS NEARING COMPLETION. The 1,600 ft sidewalk was approved in connection with Stop & Shop a few years ago. The developer was required to build the sidewalk at their expense.  Another sidewalk on Rt 119/Benedict Ave (850 square feet) was built recently as part of the Brightview Senior Living facility.   We’re hoping that the Benedict Ave sidewalk will eventually connect to the Hackley School and that one day the entire Benedict Ave corridor will be more pedestrian friendly.
 
JCC Hudson To Break Ground for First New JCC in Westchester in 40 Years
            
The Jewish Community Center on the Hudson in Tarrytown is quadrupling in size!  They are  holding a groundbreaking for their long awaited  new 75,000 sq. ft. complex on 6.6 acres, which will add two indoor swimming pools, a 6000 sq. ft. fitness center, a gymnasium, an auditorium and more. 
When & Where:  Thursday, October 8th, 2015, at 10:30 a.m.,  behind  the new site, 425 North Broadway, Tarrytown (adjacent to our current site, Rt. 9, north of the DoubleTree Hotel)
