Abandoned home on Teramar Way to be demolished
Release Date: October 04, 2016

The Greenburgh Town Board authorized the Building Inspector to proceed with steps necessary to demolish the abandoned house on Teramar way at our September 28th meeting. The bank that has an interest in the property is not objecting to the demolition of this eyesore and unsafe structure. We authorized the Building Inspector to issue a request for proposals for the demolition. The cost will be assumed by the property owner (will be a lien on the property). There are steps we are required to take before the building comes down but we are confident that the house will be demolished by the end of the year. A safety fence will be installed shortly around the abandoned home.
