New Commissioner...parking authority... Columbia Ave sidewalk possibility walk Saturday at 11
Release Date: March 01, 2017

Some residents of Columbia Ave in Hartsdale have asked for a sidewalk. This avenue connects to East Hartsdale Ave. Many people walk to the train station and to the business district in Hartsdale. the Police Chief and I took a look at the avenue and agreed that a sidewalk at this location would increase pedestrian safety. We're going to conduct a site inspection- and walk this Saturday at 11 AM on Columbia. If you live on Columbia or have any thoughts on how a sidewalk would or would not benefit the community - your input is welcome. Meet in front of the Hartsdale tower building at 11.

Giselle Lo Cicero is getting involved in civic activities at an early age –2nd grade. She’s a student at the Hillside Elementary School in Hastings on Hudson. She and her grandmother saw something they did not like about the town. And she did something about it!
Giselle and her grandmother, Mindi Lo Cicero helped persuade the town to repave parts of Jackson Ave last year. She followed up her successful advocacy by producing and appearing as the spokesperson for a public service announcement that will air on Greenburgh cable TV access TV, on You Tube and on the town website.

We love to involve young people in the decision making processes of government. We sponsor internship programs for students…invite students of all ages to host their own cable TV programs or to produce public service announcements. Students who are enrolled in the Xposure after school radio program have been nominated for two EMMY awards! If your son, daughter or grandchild would like to learn about government please advise.
Thank you Giselle for being an inspiration.  –and remember the town of Greenburgh if you ever get elected President of the United States!
