POSTAL SERVICE HIRING ...LOIS BRONZ CHILDREN'S CENTER FESTIVAL TODAY
Release Date: June 03, 2017

In recent weeks I have received almost daily complaints about mail service from residents. People  have complained about mail not being delivered, medication not arriving or mail being sent to the wrong households. I have received some complaints from residents who have pointed out that on certain weeks they received no mail for a few days.
On Thursday I met with the Regional administrator of the US Postal Service and all the local postmasters serving Greenburgh. They have been following up on all the complaints I have been forwarding to them and told me that they take every complaint very seriously.  The consensus was that the full time postal service employees who deliver your mail do a good job. However, some of the part time employees who fill in when they are off, are not as reliable. They don't always show up, are not as familiar with the routes. And have been making mistakes.
The postal service is looking to hire good, reliable people who are familiar with the community. Local postmasters have to follow hiring policies set by Washington and must pass an exam. I think that if the post office is able to hire more dedicated, responsible and hard working employees it could help improve service reliability. Follow the procedures below.

LOIS BRONZ CHILDREN'S CENTER HOSTING CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL TODAY FROM NOON TO 5 PM AT YOSEMITE PARK
Good Morning Mr. Feiner,

I hope all is well, the parents Association for the Lois Bronz Children's Center would like to cordially invite you to our third annual event.  In August 2015 we had a potluck fund raiser and last year we had our first annual LBCC Children's Festival. This year we are proud to have our 2nd Annual LBCC Children's Festival on Saturday June 3rd, 2017 from 12pm-5pm at Yosemite Park located at 40 Yosemite Avenue, White Plains, NY 10607. We are honored to have once more the collaboration of Greenburgh Police Department, Fairview Fire Department and sponsorship from Fidelis Care and Sam's Club. We had a successful event last year, and are fortunate this year to have once more the participation of Greenburgh Health Center, Greenburgh Public Library, Theodore Young Community Center.

We have many community minded organizations that will be joining us and we are thankful for their support and participation for example, US Alliance Federal Credit Union, New York Life Insurance, Butterfly Shop, McCants Mini Cheesecake, Dental Group of Westchester, Girls Scouts, Fun Fuzion, Alssaro Counseling Services, Prudential, and this year joining us will be NYPD C.A.R.E.S. which stands for Cops for Autism Related Educational Services, and many other surprise guests. We are grateful to have the continued support of our local and non local vendors who donated last year, and are assisting us again this year.

Our initiative will assist us in purchasing cool culture family passes, for all of the enrolled children at the center and its wonderful staff, that educate our children on a daily basis and develop the genius in every child at LBCC. Cool Culture is partnered with over 90 of NYC's best loved museums, gardens, zoos and historic houses. Cool Culture ensures diverse families with preschool-aged and school aged children to have access to arts and cultures as a way to increase literacy and continued learning with unlimited access as a result of the Cool Culture Program.

Lois Bronz Children Center, formerly known as The Union Child day Care Center, has been helping our children reach their full potential since 1968.  Every child is born with a promise, and everyone at LBCC is dedicated to fulfill each child’s promise by helping them reach their full potential and transforming today’s children into tomorrow’s Leaders.  The Center offers many resources and programs that help our children and families. As parents we are supportive of LBCC and we are grateful for the education our children are receiving and we want to continue educating our children.

We invite you to view and share the attached flier. Please join us for a day of festivities, music, food, face painting and wellness for all ages. We thank you for your time and support and look forward to seeing you on Saturday June 3rd.

Have a great day and a wonderful week.

Kind Regards,
