Scaramella’s Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry has been one of the more popular restaurants in the town of Greenburgh. It’s been a difficult few years for the restaurant due to the construction of the Ashford Ave bridge.  The restaurant, right next to the bridge, had experienced a loss of business. However – good food is worth waiting for. The last time my wife and I ate dinner at Scaramella’s  there was no traffic jams at the bridge crossing. And the food was great!  There is also a new owner—the Triarsi family.

Scaramella’s is Under New Ownership!

Antonino Triarsi and his son Salvatore do it again...

Patti and Sal Triarsi are high school sweethearts they married in

1986 and have three daughters, and a granddaughter. Their life

has been a true foodie adventure together. With family pizzerias,

restaurants, and a food wholesale business the Triarsi family

brings over 60 years of culinary experience to the table. Sal’s

parents moved to New York from Sicily and his experience

growing up first generation gave him a strong foundation in true

Italian cuisine. Sal has spent his life in his family’s pizzeria

(Palisade Pizza, Yonkers) and restaurant (La Fontana, Nyack) and

continued to learn about all aspects of food in his 35 years at their

food wholesale business, Casa Bianca Foods. Patti also brings a

rich pallet to the table, working in the travel industry. Patti has

planned and traveled to Italy on countless trips, bringing back

recipe ideas, products, and a continued love of all Italian foods.

Scaramella’s has been a family owned business for over twenty

years. Taking on the new endeavor the Triarsi family promises to

keep the small town family feeling and focus on authentic Italian

cuisine that Scaramella’s has become synonymous with. All the

while, bringing their personal culinary and life experiences to

enhance the wonderful restaurant that Scaramella’s is.

P.S come see all the new and exciting things Patti and Sal have

planned at Scaramella’s!

A NOTE ABOUT OUR PUERTO RICO RELIEF DONATION DRIVE FROM ONE OF OUR OFFICERS…

Thank you so much for all of your assistance with our Puerto Rico Relief donations drive. As you know, several of us have family members who have been directly affected by the crisis in Puerto Rico. We have been in contact with our family members and know the extent of the damage as well as the difficulties that they are facing daily. This is why we feel so strongly in our hearts about helping those in need. We see this as the perfect opportunity to show how caring and driven the entire Town of Greenburgh can be when we see someone in need of help.

David Zenon, Michele Ghiglioty, and I are very excited to get this drive started, and have created a Flyer with specific items needed and drop off locations. We have started making notifications via social media, as well as reaching out to people throughout the Town. We have also established a link with Luminaid to allow people to purchase solar lights that we can distribute, and are in the process of doing the same with Sawyer Water Filters. We understand that such a large endeavor can only be done with the assistance of many and we are grateful to have the support of the Greenburgh Police Department, Greenburgh Central School District, Greenburgh PBA, the Town of Greenburgh, and the Greenburgh Uniformed Firefighters Association.

We are currently in contact with Governor Cuomo's liaison to Puerto Rico and are in the process of making arrangements to ship the items directly to the Island, where David and I would be meeting the items in order to turn them over to "Caridades" which is a charitable organization affiliated with the Diocese of Mayaguez. Our estimated time of completion for the collection is the week before Thanksgiving. David and I are also planning on assisting "Caridades" in dispersing the items to those in need on the Island, and keeping all those who donated informed via social media. I will also continue to keep you informed with our progress throughout the entire collection process via email.

Thank you again and God Bless,

Tony Fernandez
