HELP US REMOVE THE CLUTTER, MAKE THE SITE EASIER TO NAVIGATE

We had a very productive meeting of our  newly formed technology committee earlier this week. We identified our first project to work on which is to enhance our Greenburgh website: www.greenburghny.com.  We all quickly came to the conclusion that this is an important undertaking. A good website will enable residents to get whatever information they want easily. And, creates a positive impression of the town for people who don't live here but may consider moving to Greenburgh.

You can help the technology committee and Town Board by doing the following.  I’m attaching some of the sites that CivicPlus (a company that represents many localities around the country)  has already prepared for  other communities. Please look and critique those sites.  If there are features on websites of other communities that you are impressed with let us know.

In addition please  critique our existing website and do so with with a critical eye.  We want to get rid of the clutter in our existing website. And, need your help in identifying areas in the website that may be confusing or lacking.

The  existing Greenburgh website leaves much to be desired for people to quickly and easily access information they need.  Our new website could include the possibility of voice activated access and other cutting edge technology. I recall that we were the first community in the region to have a website. We were cutting edge then, but are behind other communities now.
