Just spoke with Ed Rush, Hartsdale Fire Chief. E Hartsdale Ave is currently a mess--very difficult for cars getting to the train station. the Avenue is shut down due to a manhole fire. The Fire Department has been waiting for almost 2 hours for Con Ed to show up. No power outages on E Hartsdale Ave. Everyone should be able to get into their apartments. Residents who lie at 80 E Hartsdale Ave should be able to access apartments from the side door. The Police Chief also spoke with me and said that he has reports that Con Ed should be on site shortly. Once Con Ed inspects and advises that the street is safe we will re-open the road. Sorry for the inconveniences.

The road closure on East Hartsdale Avenue has been extended. The closure is now from Central Avenue to Columbia Ave. Alternative routes remain the same.

Subject: East Hartsdale Avenue closure
Mr. Feiner,
Due to a manhole smoke condition/fire, East Hartsdale Avenue is being closed temporarily from Wilson Street to Columbia Avenue. For those that need to access the Hartsdale train station from the area of four corners, they can travel from Lawton Avenue to Holland Place or Lakeview Avenue to Caterson Terrace. Those leaving the train station can turn up Caterson Terrace toward Holland Place from East Hartsdale Avenue. Pipeline Road is also an alternative route.
Regards,
Sgt. Dennis Basulto
