Congrat's to Francis.
Release Date: November 10, 2005

Congratulations to Greenburgh Councilman-elect Francis Sheehan on his election win this past Tuesday. Francis, a member of the Zoning Board, will replace Councilwoman Timmy Weinberg on January 1, 2006.

The apparent election of Chuck Lesnick as Yonkers City Council President may be good news to those of us who feel that the proposed Ridge Hill development will have a negative impact on the quality of life in Greenburgh if it is approved.. Ridge Hill, just seconds away from Greenburgh (near the Thruway/Jackson Ave) will generate lots of traffic in and around Greenburgh.
The project: almost 3 million sq feet of development. Chuck and his supporters had expressed concerns about the proposed development. Citizen commentaries in the blog: www.yonkerstribune.com about Chuck's win indicate that opposition to Yonkers officials handling of Ridge Hill was a big factor that helped Chuck.
