Last week I suggested that the town do more to enhance the summer camping experience for our youth. Some communities around the nation have established business training  summer camps (Wall Street 101). These camps give attendees a positive advantage when entering the business world.  Today, I attended the annual Family Day Ceremony at the Yosemite Park in Fairview. I discussed with students and parents programs that the town can establish that would be helpful. One suggestion (which I think would be fantastic) would be for the town to start a summer SAT preparation camp at the TheodoreYoungCommunity Centerfor students who reside in Greenburgh. This camp will help students get into better colleges. I will ask the Board to consider this suggestion and would be prepared to recommend funding for the camp in 2007.
