CON ED CLAIMS THAT POTENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS WILL DELAY 180/170 E HARTSDALE AVE RE-OCCUPANCY
Release Date: April 22, 2007

I just got off the phone with Sandy Miller of Con Ed. She advised that there will be a slight delay in the re-occupancy of 180 & 170 E Hartsdale Aveby tenants. Con Ed believes there may be some environmental problems in the manholes. They are doing tests, as I write this e mail. They have retained the services of an environmental contractor and will start the cleanup (if warranted) immediately.

Once that is completed each unit owner must have an electrical inspection completed before the town inspectors can authorize re-occupancy. Ms. Miller does not believe that residents of 180 or 170 will be able to move back today – possibly tomorrow.

Sorry for the delays. And, a special thank you to residents who have offered to provide free housing to families facing financial difficulties during these times.  I can be reached at my cell: 438-1343 anytime this weekend. I will be devoting lots of time addressing the flooding problems people are having.
