GREENBURGH USED TO HAVE A GREENBURGH POST OFFICE

The Town of Greenburgh is working with Congresswoman Lowey's office and the US Postal Service so residents of the l0607 and 10603 zips (White Plains address) can have a Greenburgh address. The US Postal Service will be conducting a survey of residents. Frank Jazzo, town historian, reports that on Feb 20, 1833 Greenburgh had a post office known by several names: Saw Mill River, Greensburgh and later Greenburgh. That post office was only in operation until 1838.
