INTERNSHIPS...GREENBURGHBUSINESS.BLOGSPOT.COM...FARMERS MARKET VOLUNTEERS
Release Date: June 15, 2009

In recent weeks Anthony Schepis, a student at Scarsdale High School and Josh Ringel, a student at Hastings High School have interned in my office. They worked hard and created a blog called GREENBURGHBUSINESS.BLOGSPOT.COM.  They conducted a number of video interviews of local business owners and employees that are also posted on youtube.com. The goal: to promote local businesses and to encourage Greenburgh residents to shop locally. They also co-hosted a weekly radio program on WVOX Radio and helped organize the annual Greenburgh new residents reception.
Their internship program is coming to an end. I’m looking for volunteers (students or adults) who might be interested in continuing our efforts to help local businesses in Greenburgh. If you’re interested in volunteering – please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com.
ALSO,,. Carole Walker, Secretary to the Zoning Board of Appeals has asked me to find volunteers who can assist the farmer’s market coordinator on Saturday mornings. We can use additional help! Let me know if you have the time.
