NY STATE SHOULD REMOVE EYESORE ON SPRAIN PARKWAY--LOGS, TRUCKS
Release Date: August 26, 2009

I am trying to persuade the  NYS Department of Transportation to remove the trucks and logs on 100 B near the southbound entrance to the Sprain. These logs/dumping has become an eyesore to our residential neighborhood. Some people have contacted me expressing concern about possible rodent problems that could be caused by the dumping.
The town has no control over the site since it is state land. I will reach out to the regional director of the New York State Department of Transportation, State Senator Andrea Stewart Cousins, Assemblyman Richard Brodsky and will ask for their help in removing this eyesore.
A suggestion was made by a citizen that if the state refuses to remove the logs that 8 foot pine trees be planted around the dump site.
