REMINDER SYMPOSIUM ON BULLYING TONIGHT

Just a short reminder that the symposium on bullying will be held tonight at 7 PM at Greenburgh Town Hall. The symposium is being organized and will be hosted by Jake, Jacque and Jenna Williams (triplets) that are seniors at Valhalla HS. They created a program they call "Kids Helping Kids" KHK & it will be introduced to the public this evening. Valhalla HS has just adopted this program and already has ~25 students that have signed up for it.
The Williams Triplets, Greenburgh Town Supervisor Mr. Paul Feiner, Mr. Harry Phillips (member of the NY State Board of Regents), Valhalla Board of Ed Judith Beville, Lynn Beville (Ed consultant & social worker for Yonkers schools), Catherine Hogan (National Consultant on Bullying), Ron Smalls & Dr. Ramos Kelly (Greenburgh & Valhalla School Superintendents) will be the guest speakers for this evening.
BUDGET ADVISORY: I will be releasing the proposed 2010 budget on Friday. We’re making lots of cuts in the budget. The tax increase will be less than it has been in recent years. I am not recommending the use of any fund balance from the B budget which is the budget that impacts unincorporated Greenburgh. The cuts that are being made will help offset significant loss of revenues.
