GREENBURGH VOTES FOR JOINT PLANNING WITH ARDSLEY
Release Date: November 26, 2003

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved a resolution authorizing Supervisor Paul Feiner to sign an intermunicipal agreement with Ardsley to allow Ardsley to designate a non voting member to serve on Greenburgh's Planning Board. This will take place when the town reviews land use proposals that impact Ardsley residents. This action, which the Ardsley Village Board is expected to also approve, will reduce tensions between both communities and promote better regional planning.Feiner has written to the Mayors of Yonkers, Scarsdale, Mt. Pleasant, Hastings, Elmsford, Tarrytown and Irvington inviting them to consider similar intermunicipal agreements.
