REMINDER: no GARBAGE PICKUP TODAY--HOLIDAY WEEK...

On Easter Monday (today) no sanitation pickup. Decades ago sanitation workers agreed to pick up garbage on a holiday in November--and got the day after EAster off. Next time we review our contract will ask Teamsters to work on Easter Monday -give sanitation workers a floating holiday instead (birthday). Everyone would win. Residents would get an extra day of service from the town. Workers would not lose a day off. We did this with Lincoln's birthday a while back.
