REGISTER: www.RenewGreenburgh.org The town of Greenburgh, in partnership with the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Con Edison, is hosting a Renew Greenburgh Home and Multi-Family Energy Workshop on November 15th.  This workshop for homeowners will explore energy-saving upgrades that can be made to homes and multi-family buildings, and provide state, federal and utility programs that are available to encourage energy conservation. Greenburgh residents should bring their Con Ed account number or past 12 months of energy use (available at www.ConEd.com) to complete an application for a free whole-house energy assessment, available through Green Jobs–Green New York, a state program encouraging energy awareness and efficiency. In addition to learning what each homeowner can do to reduce average home energy loss—which amounts to approximately $700 per year—incentives and low-interest loans that are available for home energy improvements will be covered. The first 50 attendees to register will receive 4 free CFL light bulbs, projected to provide over $250 in energy savings over the life of the bulbs. To pre-register for the event and reserve your light bulbs, go to www.RenewGreenburgh.org or call (866) 495-2959.
