5245 customers still out. Progress, but not enough.
Release Date: November 05, 2012

As of 10 PM there were 5,245 Greenburgh residents out of power. Some progress. Not enough. I spent some time at the Greenburgh Library after work and matched some "powerless" seniors with house angels.

The weather is getting colder. Looks like Con Ed will not complete the restoration of power throughout town for at least a few days. If you want me to try to find a home (with heat) for you to stay in please stop by my office tomorrow around 10 AM. And, I'll try to match you with someone who has a home. Or, e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com.

The Theodore Young Community Center is open all night long --cots, warm conditions, showers, security. If you are trying to stay home tonight and get too cold, you can go to the TDYCC anytime in the evening-- no reservations are required.

Hope that Con Ed will assign more crews to Greenburgh tomorrow so we can make more progress in getting power restored.
PAUL FEINER
