4,085 customers out of power...Game on Referendum is approved (65% to 35%)
Release Date: November 07, 2012

24 hours ago 5,245 Greenburgh residents were out of power. Tonight, the number dipped to 4,085 Con Ed customers. Hoping that more progress will be made on Wednesday. Continuing to press Con Ed to send in more crews so everyone can be warm and comfortable. Am compiling a list of recommendations that I will be sending to the NYS Public Service Commission so that this disaster won't be repeated in the future - when there are outages, hurricanes or storms. Your recommendations are always appreciated.

GAME ON SPORTS RECREATION BUBBLE REFERENDUM IS APPROVED BY THE PEOPLE BY OVERWHELMING MAJORITY
The voters approved the Game On sports recreation bubble by an overwhelming majority. According to Greenburgh.dailyvoice.com with 80 percent of precincts reporting at 11:30 p.m., 65 percent of voters cast ballot in favor the proposal and 35 percent voted against, according to unofficial results from the Westchester County Board of Elections. I am delighted. The Town Board unanimously approved the lease subject to voter approval. The people spoke--more recreation...we need more soccer/lacrosse playing fields...revenue for the town...environmental cleanup of the property...having a recreation facility at the old Frank's nursery will help the Golf Range (makes this area a recreation destination point). I think this proposal is good for property values too.
I believe in referendums-making the community part of the process.
Con Ed memo on inaccurate messages:As we continue to make progress with restoration, outbound messages are going out from Customer Operations to our customers indicating their power has been restored. For some customers receiving this call they may in fact still be without power: when restoring electrical feeders and loops, our system interprets that all customers on that feeder or loop have been restored when completed. It does not take into account other more localized damage that may have occurred (i.e. single customer damage).
If the customer is still without power they are encouraged to call the 1-800-75CONED number daily. This will ensure that we do not overlook any of our valued customers.
Please relay this message when asked. Folks in your Muni (officials, police department, etc) are encouraged to relay as well.
PAUL FEINER
