Our highway crew just completed their work - salting the roads, addressing the ice conditions. This was a very bad storm. And, a very difficult storm for our crews. According to Robert Errico, highway general foreman for the town, we had 21 salt trucks out, many calls. What slowed down the effort was waiting to move cars out of the way. Our crews did their best under very difficult conditions -- conditions every other locality in Westchester also experienced. I will be meeting with the Commissioner/deputy commissioner tomorrow and will discuss this storm --and ways we could improve next time around.
