NEW TOWN ATTORNEY, BD VOTES FINES AGAINST CABLETV
Release Date: October 14, 2004

The Greenburgh Town Board appointed Timothy Lewis as Interim Town Attorney, effective November 1, 2004. Mr. Lewis is currently a Deputy Town Attorney. He is the prosecutor for the town. Mr. Lewis is also the former President of a neighborhood association in N Elmsford.

The Greenburgh Town Board also voted to impose daily fines against Cablevision starting October 14th. In recent months Board members have received numerous complaints from residents who watch Town Board meetings complaining about the poor sound/look when Town Board meetings are aired on our public access channel. Although cablevision has sent technicians to Town Hall trying to solve the problem – the quality of the broadcasts continues to be very poor. We hope that the daily fines imposed against cablevision will force them to give this matter their highest priority attention.
