Info about waterwheel affordable housing from ardsley village manager
Release Date: June 06, 2013

I have received the following note from the Ardsley Village Manager concerning the waterwheel affordable housing initiative. Many residents have contacted me expressing interest in the work force housing.

PAUL FEINER

The site of the former Waterwheel property will indeed be turned into affordable housing. I imagine though construction will not be completed until next year. Most importantly no building permits have been requested or issued yet.

Bear in mind that there are 22 units anticipated, 5 of which are classified as work force housing with first priority to volunteer Ardsley fire fighters and volunteer Ardsley ambulance workers. The other 17 will be handled by Rose Noonan of the Housing Action Council on behalf of the County of Westchester in accordance with the eligibility requirements of the federal settlement. It is my understanding they are not accepting applications yet. County Deputy Planning Commissioner Norma Drummond advises all those interested to log on to www.westchestergov.com and go to the link for homeseekers. Upon hitting that link one will be placed on a list to have an application sent when they become available. If you have trouble with the link, please contact Ms. Noonan directly at rnoonan@affordablehomes.org. or call her at 332-4144.

Sincerely,

George F. Calvi

Ardsley Village Manager
