EAST HARTSDALE AVE REPAVING TO TAKE PLACE NEXT WEEK--TRAFFIC DELAYS EXPECTED
Release Date: July 02, 2013

The town of Greenburgh has hired a contractor to repave East Hartsdale Ave from Columbia Ave to the Rockledge Road traffic signal. The work will commence July 8 (next week) and is anticipated to take 5 days. Rain will delay the construction progress. If it rains work could continue the following week.  During the road repaving, two way traffic will be maintained throughout the construction.  However, there can be minor delays due to construction equipment entering and exiting the work area. There will be minor delays at time of lane shifts. And, there will be inherent delays by on looking motorists. We ask that motorists anticipate up to 30 minute delays during the construction—hopefully much less.

East Hartsdale Ave is a heavily traveled road servicing many businesses and residents. It’s also an important travel route to the Hartsdale train station, Bronx River Parkway and is a connecting route between Central Ave (100C) and White Plains Road (Route 22).

Residents who live in the apartments on E Hartsdale Ave will experience the most problems because work will take place directly in front of driveways. There could be access delays.

We are trying to advise residents and commuters of our plans –in advance of the work so you can give yourself some extra time to get to your destination. An electric board with information about the paving plans has been placed at E Hartsdale Ave. We will  be posting notices at the entrances to  the apartment buildings.  The road repaving must get done. The work is scheduled to take place after the school year ended.
