The developer of the Avalon Green project on Taxter Road has submitted an expansion plan for 68 additional units. The original Avalon Green development in 1995 was 105 units and last year they completed 444 additional units.They are fully occupied.

The additional units will be constructed within the boundaries of the current development. The property is in the Elmsford School District but, so far, school enrollment is below projections.
The Planning Board is currently reviewing this proposal and will be discussing the matter at their November meeting on Nov 6.. The additional units, if approved, will bring significant additional revenue to the town and school district.
