SAFETY TIPS IF YOU'RE GOING AWAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS--from our new police chief...
Release Date: December 21, 2013

I was reading an e mail from our new Police Chief, Chris McNerney to a constituent who expressed concern about safety during holiday breaks.    During vacation weeks take the following action steps that could help keep burglars away. If you're going on vacation, protect yourself by  leaving some interior lights on, holding mail and newspapers and making arrangements for driveways and walkways to be shoveled in the event of snow. Additionally, valuables should be stored in discreet places other than master bedrooms and alarms should be set at all times. These are only a few of the obvious safeguards that residents can take to help protect against becoming a victim.  Stay safe and have a great holiday season.
