FEINER TO BASE 2005 SALARY ON MEETING GOALS

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner will once again base part of his 2005 salary on implementation of goals. He plans to release his 2005 goals at the next meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board –January 12th at 7:15 PMat GreenburghTown Hall. Feiner is asking residents who have suggested goals to e mail him at pfeiner@greenburghny.com or to call him at 993-1540 with suggestions.

Feiner has voluntarily placed $5000 of his salary in an escrow account. At the last meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board the Board evaluates Feiner’s goals and decides how much of his salary must be returned to the taxpayers. In 2004 Feiner returned $1,186.67 of his salary to the Greenburgh treasury.

“I am excited about 2005, have a number of good ideas and objectives. And, will work hard to implement the goals I announce next week,” said Feiner. “I believe that salaries of every elected official should be based on performance. Goals make you work harder!

Goals will be posted on the Greenburgh web site: www.greenburghny.com. Feiner started basing his salary on goals in 1999. The 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 goals/report are also posted on the web site.
