snow angels VOLUNTEER TO HELP OTHERS
Release Date: January 19, 2005

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feinerannounced that the Woodlands High School Key Club has offered to participate in the Greenburgh snow angels program. Snow angels volunteer their time to clear driveways of seniors and disabledresidents of Greenburgh. Residents who need snow angel services are invited to contact these students who have authorized Feiner to release their phone numbers and e mails.

Feiner started the snow angel program shortly after he took office as Town Supervisor in 1992. Feiner, who also volunteers as a snow angel, said that snow angels provide some seniors with the ability to get food delivered to their homes (if they are on the meals and wheels program). When there is a heavy snow storm the frail elderly need assistance so that emergency providers can get to them.

Other residents of Greenburgh may have health related problems and are not able to clear their driveways. This program is designed to help as many people as possible. Unfortunately, there is always more demand than volunteers. Those wishing to volunteer to be a snow angel should contact Feiner at pfeiner@greenburghny.com or call him at 993 1540.
