LIBRARY POLICY ON COLLECTING USED BOOKS...pre-school programs at the library are amazing!
Release Date: August 02, 2014

On a rainy weekend day---take your family to the Greenburgh Library. Check their website and you'll be impressed with all the fantastic services they offer the public.

The Greenburgh Library is known for their pre-school programs.  If you are a parent of a pre-schooler, you should take a look at the following link.

PAUL FEINER

Dear Friends of the Greenburgh Library:

You have been so kind and generous with your donations of books for our Book Store and Book Sales, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you!

But, I would also like to remind you that when you do donate books please remember that these are the books that we will be selling to the public - and to you, your friends and family.  So, take a moment to look them over - are these books that would would be comfortable sharing with your friends? Please do not give us the books that are torn and written in, moldy and buggy. (And yes, we have received all of that!)

We are not a recycling center - we have no need and no facility for your old phone books and magazines, the out-dated travel guides and text books, the old and dusty books from the damp basement.  And we don't have enough volunteers to sort through the trash looking for the treasures. Please recycle the less than great books from your own home.

We always welcome your contributions of gently used books in great shape, any time the Library is open, and we look forward to seeing you at our annual Giant Book Sale, October 18 through 20.
