Robert Mendelson, longest serving student intern to be honored tonight by Town Board

LONGEST SERVING STUDENT INTERN TO BE HONORED BY TOWN BOARD
Robert Mendelson is a student at Ardsley High School. He is also the longest serving student intern - volunteering his time at Town Hall for many years. Way back in 2007 Robert testified at a Greenburgh Town Board meeting about diesel emissions.
Robert has a passion for public service. He started volunteering at Town Hall while a student at the Ardsley Middle School and continued to volunteer during his high school years. He has hosted an interview program on public access TV  -Speak with Robert. He has co-hosted radio programs on WVOX radio (1460 AM or www.wvox.com) with me).
Robert has also volunteered at the Greenburgh Library's Teen Café and has participate in the Greenburgh Student News Network--writing, editing news stories for public access TV.  He has also volunteered in the office of Greenburgh Town Clerk Judith Beville--writing public service announcements.  After an earthquake in Haiti Robert got involved --helping the victims of the earthquake.
At tonight's Town Board meeting we will honor Robert Mendelson for his years of service to the community. If you have a son or daughter who is interested in learning more about government --we welcome new interns during the school year.
