RIDGE HILL COMMUNITY MEETING SCHEDULED FOR FEB 16
Release Date: February 10, 2005

One of the major development proposals that will impact Greenburgh/Ardsley/Hastings is Ridge Hill. Ridge Hill is an almost 3 million sq foot development project being reviewed by the City of Yonkers. This proposed project is close to the Yonkers/Greenburgh border. It will include stores, a hotel, conference center, office space and 5,000 parking spaces—all across the Thruway from Stew Leonard’s. The project, considered by many to be a mini city - will add thousands of cars on our local streets, create more congestion, and safety problems. The Ridge Hill project is 7X the size of Home Depot/Costco/Stew Leonard’s.  Since the development is in the city of Yonkersthe Town of Greenburghcannot vote for or against the proposal. However, we have been participating and attending meetings. And, we have retained legal counsel and traffic consultants so that our interests are represented.

A citizens group is sponsoring an important community meeting on Wednesday, February 16th at 8 PMat Riverview, 1 Warburton, Hastings. This is a great opportunity to learn about Ridge Hill before the Final Environmental Impact Statement is submitted. It’s also an opportunity to get involved. Please make every effort to attend.
