Jackie Young advises...G.O.O.D. for Girls, Inc. Youth Mentoring Organization is sponsoring an informational session on the importance of mentoring - Be Someone Who Matters to Someone who Matters. The Town Board approved the following resolution at the Town Board meeting earlier this week authorizing additional environmental testing at Frank's nursery. We delayed the auction of the property last year because some potential bidders wanted more information on the extent of the cleanup at Frank's that will be required by the NYS DEC. PAUL FEINER RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WOODARD & CURRAN ENGINEERING, PA, PC FOR SUPPLEMENTAL SITE ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION AND PLANNING ACTIVITIES AT 715 DOBBS FERRY ROAD (FKA FRANK’S NURSERY), FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $43,150 WHEREAS, the Town of Greenburgh is aware of environmental concerns through past Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment studies performed by Woodard & Curran, Inc. for the Town property (the Property) at 715 Dobbs Ferry Road (formerly Frank’s Nursery) and is advised additional investigative work may provide more favorable value of the Property; and WHEREAS, Woodard & Curran, upon request of the Town, provided a draft proposal dated January 8, 2015, to further investigate site environmental conditions identified through the previous Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment investigations – specifically to (1) develop a Site Investigation Work Plan to address the historic fill encountered within the site and (2) to address impacts associated with NYSDEC Spill No. 010088; and WHEREAS, included with the proposal of January 8, 2015 are meetings with the NYSDEC to develop work plans to guide future work to bring closure to Spill No. 010088 and provide an approved scope of work for a Site Remediation Plan and/or Site Management Plan; and WHEREAS, Town Board previously authorized both a Phase I ESA and Phase II ESA for Woodard & Curran, and it is the desire of the Town Board to continue this work to assess areas of concern, reducing the perceived risk associated with the possible sale of the Property by endorsing the study to performs the tasks noted above as items (1) and (2), NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Greenburgh hereby authorizes the Town Supervisor to enter into the attached agreement, or a substantially similar agreement with the same or lower rates and costs, with Woodard & Curran Engineering, PA PC, for professional engineering services in accordance with the scope of services for an amount not to exceed $43,150.
