I will ask the Greenburgh Town Board this Tuesday (during our work session) to pay for local registration so that those who are disabled/in the military can vote by absentee ballot in the upcoming May 10th referendum for the library expansion. Now that a referendum date has been set we must make sure that every resident of Greenburgh who wants to vote can vote. That includes the disabled...that includes those in the military...that includes people who are on vacation or are on business trips. The meeting starts at 4 PM.
I had contacted Westchester Disabled on the Move earlier today asking them to initiate legal action in the event that the disabled are denied the opportunity to vote by absentee ballot.
