BOARD TO DISCUSS WITH BOND COUNSEL DISABLED VOTING
Release Date: March 14, 2005

The Greenburgh Town Board will discuss with our bond counsel a proposal to amend the 20 million dollar libraryexpansion resolution to permit absentee ballot voting by the disabled, military and others. The discussion will take place at 4:30on Tuesday afternoon. In addition, if the Town Board chooses to take the action steps necessary to enable absentee ballots to take place—the Town Board will vote on this matter at the special meeting that had been scheduled previously for Tuesday at 7:30 PM.  The purpose of that special meeting is to reapportion the budgetas it pertains to the Taxter Ridge legal action to comply with the court order.

I feel strongly that every resident of the town should be able to participate in the May 10th libraryreferendum–whether they are disabled, in the military, on vacation, on a business trip, etc…
