GREENBURGH CABLE TV NEWS SHOW RUN BY STUDENTS!
Release Date: April 12, 2005

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said that he plans to reach out to  Greenburgh students who live in or attend Greenburgh schools and will help them organize a student run cable TV news show that will air on public access cable TV. Students will take advantage of the availability of public access TV to air their own Greenburgh version of CNN, NEWS 12, FOX or the network news. Students will report the news, produce the program, determine the format of the news programs, cover meetings and air commentary on given local issues.
Students interested in attending a meeting to help organize Greenburgh's version of ALL THE NEWS THAT IS FIT TO AIR should contact Feiner at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. We're looking for high school and college students who reside in Greenburgh. Although Supervisor Feiner is working to set up the news show, he will not be involved in overseeing the news show once the show is up and running. "I want this news program to be totally independent of town government" and hope that the reporters will help scrutinize the day to day activities of government.
