3 Dr. Martin Luther King events taking place Monday

Some events that are taking place to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr tomorrow: Monday, January 18th:

 
 
Hastings will celebrate the life of Dr. King at a community breakfast at the James Harmon Community Center from 9:30 AM to 11 AM on Monday. For info e mail geraldjer@optonline.net.

 
The African American Men of Westchester,  a 501(c)(3) organization, in collaboration with United Way of Westchester-Putnam and various youth agencies throughout the county hold the Annual Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Legacy Youth Awards Program. Bill Carter, who passed away on Friday, led this event for many years. This countywide youth program fosters leadership skills in young people, encourages youth to participate in public service, and bonds youth with the community through an increased sense of civic responsibility.
