3 eleven year old reporters from Greenburgh xposure after school program featured on a WCBS
Release Date: January 18, 2016

On Martin Luther King’s birthday – WCBS radio 880 aired a story about the Greenburgh Xposure after school program and the internet radio station the after school program manages. Students enrolled in the after school program broadcast out of Greenburgh Town Hall.   3 eleven year old students— (Harshita Shet, Sydney Jackson and Adrianna Murrel) were interviewed by WCBS reporter Sean Adams and discussed with him some of the interview techniques they use when interviewing public officials, school leaders and people in the community.

These student reporters (who currently attend the Greenburgh schools)  do a lot of research before each interview and they also have their own confidential sources throughout the town –helping them come up with breaking news stories.    Who knows….it’s possible that some of the students who host their radio program on Greenburgh Xposure radio may eventually be Pulitzer Prize winners….anchors on major TV or radio stations.  They are getting a head start at Town Hall!  That’s what our after school program is all about---giving students the chance to learn skills early on.
