IBRARY HEATING PROBLEM FIXED! ...POSH PETS RESCUE CAT GROUP NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
Release Date: January 21, 2016

THE GREENBURGH LIBRARY WAS COLD THIS WEEK? WHY?   PROBLEM FIXED!

Received the following explanation from Greenburgh Library Director John Sexton  as to why the 2nd floor of the Greenburgh Library was very cold earlier this week.  I hope that during the rest of the winter the library will be a reliable place for you to read, work and relax at.

The issue was resolved yesterday when a broken fan housing was replaced.  It was damaged last Thursday when insulation from the hvac unit on the roof was sucked into the fan.  Only the 'swoop' area was affected, but it was quite cold in there for a couple of days; fortunately the rest of the library was remained heated.

The supplemental boiler is up and running and has worked so far this winter.  The problem with the cold this week was related to the broken fan and had nothing to do with the supplemental boiler.

ANIMAL RESCUE GROUP SEEKS VOLUNTEERS!
With the holidays having come and gone and winter finally upon us, the animal rescue group I volunteer with has seen a drastic decline in volunteers for our morning shifts!

The group is seeking morning volunteers at Posh Pets Rescue Cat Room at the PetSmart in Greenburgh. Volunteers (ages 18+) are needed to clean the cubbies, feed and socialize the cats/kittens between 6a-10a. Interested volunteers can reach me at poshpetsmart@gmail.com
