BECOME A MENTOR..MOTIVATE A YOUNG PERSON...INSPIRE...HONOR LEGACY OF WILLIAM CARTER...ATTEND THURSDAY EVENING KICK OFF CEREMONIES FOR THE WILLIAM L. CARTER FOUNDATION 6 PM TO 8 PM AT DOUBLETREE IN TARRYTOWN

Become a mentor. Make a difference in the lives of young people.   Honor the legacy of William Carter.  Attend the kick off ceremonies of the William L. Carter Foundation tomorrow- Thursday, April 21st from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Tarrytown.

Bill Carter passed away earlier this year. He was a terrific Commissioner and leader of the Theodore Young Community Center. He motivated many young people to become productive members of society. He turned lives around- for the better. He really cared about our children.

The William L. Carter Inspiration program is generating lots of interest from people who want to continue the great work that William Carter was involved in. I’ve agreed to mentor a young person and hope you will too.  We’re also going to provide students with scholarships so they can continue their education.

Who knows…one of the students the William L. Carter inspiration program may mentor may one day become a Nobel Prize winner, Pulitzer Prize winner, Governor or President of the United States. And you could have helped him or her reach their potential.

Hope to see you tomorrow.   The program is going to be very exciting. Host: WBLS Radio personality Liz Blackk.  Invocation by Bishop Dr. Wilbert G.Preston, Pastor Christ Temple Church.  Welcome by Melinda Daniel Hodge.  Deacon Frank Williams, Brenda Spencer, Kris DeFillippis, Judge Delores Brathwaite, Dr. Jim Bostic, Executive Director of the Nepperhan Community Center in Yonkers, Kenny Lee AllStars, Felice Harris, Barbara Pisano, NYS Senator Andrea Stewwart Cousins, Commissioner Andre Early, Kevin Jackson, Dave James and Julius Rodriquez will help make this kickoff celebration a big success.
