IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT RIDGE HILL
Release Date: June 22, 2005

The Yonkers City Council is holding a very important public hearing on Monday, June 27th at 7 PM at the Yonkers City Council Chambers, City Hall, 40 South Broadway, Yonkers on the proposed Ridge Hill development. A smaller development would be a more appropriate use for this site. This proposal will have an enormous quality of life impact on our community.  The development borders Jackson Ave–is too big, more than seven times the size of the Stew Leonard’s Home Depot Costco complex. 60,000 more cars per day will jam local streets and roads. 4,500 cars an hour during peak times such as Saturday afternoons. Heavy traffic and the slowing of emergency vehicles will exact a toll on area residents.

Yonkersofficials will be making the decision—whether to approve or reject the proposal. But, we can express ourselves at this very important hearing. Please attend and speak out for our quality of life.  For more information visit the Ridge Hill Citizens Committee web site: www.StopRidgeHIll.com.  Hope to see you at the hearing!  PAUL FEINER
