CON ED OUTAGES IN HARTSDALE AND EDGEMONT.. Capitol Seniors Housing (Assisted Living Facility)
Release Date: November 06, 2016

Earlier this morning power went out in parts of Edgemont and Hartsdale.  The Greenburgh police and I have notified Con Ed. Hopefully...power will be restored shortly. Please keep me informed.

Progress is being made with Frank's nursery sale. As many know, the property, on Dobbs Ferry Road, was acquired by the town during as a result of a foreclosure. The Town Board has been working with Capitol Seniors Housing to build an assisted living facility at the abandoned nursery. The sale price: $3.5 million. There is a $1.5 cap on the cost the town could have re: cleanup of the property.

Please note that the Planning Board issued a positive recommendation (attached) with respect to the site plan and special permit (Assisted Living Facility) referrals. A public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9th with the Town Board. The hearing will take place at Greenburgh Town Hall at 7:30 PM.

One important aspect of the project which has evolved throughout the process is the applicant’s desire for the building to have its main entrance facing towards the western side, as opposed to the front, or Dobbs Ferry Road, as originally proposed. The applicant will explain the functional reasons for the proposed change at the public hearing. I have attached updated elevation renderings of these two building facades, prepared by the applicant.

If you can't attend the hearing but would like to comment on the application please e mail townboard@greenburghny.com
