wanted-- snow angels....FOOD BANK NEEDS YOUR HELP during the holiday season
Release Date: November 21, 2016

During the past twenty six years the town has organized a group of volunteers who shovel out snow of residents. Am updating list of volunteers. If you have a shovel or snow blower and are willing to help an elderly or disabled resident, please advise by e mailing me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com.  What neighborhood are you willing to help out in? How many residents can you assist? Are you interested in helping only the very frail elderly and disabled (as a volunteer) or do you expect to be reimbursed for your services?  What is the best way to reach you?  This is a good community service project for students. The Town Board has, in the past, honored snow angels who help out.
PAUL FEINER
Good Morning Mr. Feiner,

I am the Community Events Coordinator at the Food Bank for Westchester, and am also a Greenburgh resident. I know you send out frequent emails and such to residents, and was wondering if you could send one informing our neighbors about our newly launched holiday campaign called “Feed a Family.”

This is the first year the Food Bank for Westchester is introducing this campaign, and we have set a very ambitious goal of feeding 1,000 families this holiday season – but we need the help of our generous neighbors!

Here’s the gist of the campaign:
$25 can provide a family of four with all the “fixings” for a holiday meal together (see attachment 1 for more details), so we are challenging Westchester residents to form teams, set goals, and raise as much money to feed as many families as possible! Whether it be at school, work or home, amongst friends, colleagues, teammates or family members, anyone can get involved in this campaign, and we want all of Westchester to participate!

We believe that the tradition of sitting down to a holiday meal together is something that every family should be able to enjoy, so this year, we want to raise $25,000 to give 1,000 families that experience – but we can’t do it alone.

Our campaign page can be found here: http://www.foodbankforwestchester.org/feedafamily and I have also attached some other graphics for the campaign. We would truly appreciate it if you could spread the word throughout the community as much as possible.

Thank you so much, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Madeline
