GREENBURGH POLICE HELP ARREST PHARMACIST
Release Date: August 04, 2005

The Greenburgh Police, part of the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force, helped conduct the investigation that led to the arrest of a Tarrytown pharmacist, Neil Norwood of Russell & Lawrie Pharmacy. The pharmacist has been accused of cheating customers and insurance companies out of as much as $4 million dollars. The Police Chief briefed members of the Town Board on this matter earlier this week and indicated that the druggist short changed prescriptions, replaced expensive medications with generic brands and overcharged customers. Some of the customers who were short changed had serious medical illnesses.  Hat's off to the Police for a job well done! PAUL FEINER
