CANDIDATE INFO-MERCIALS ON PUBLIC ACCESS
Release Date: August 20, 2005

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved a resolution reaffirming policies that were approved in 2001 and 2003 permitting individual candidates for Town Supervisor and Town Board to air cable TV campaign messages that will run on cable TV access uninterrupted for the 2 weekends prior to the primary and general election days. The political programming will loop over Greenburgh Cable TV access TV from 10 PM Friday evening to 8 AM Monday morning. The town's cable TV cable coordinator will assist candidates in taping their message, if they wish that this be done.
In addition, debates that adhere to League of Women Voters guidelines, moderated by a representative of the LWV, will be cablecast live and repeated on cable TV access during those 2 weekends.
This campaign reform measure provides all candidates, including those who do not have access to campaign funds,  with the ability to communicate with the voters.
