FREE LEAK DETECTOR DYE TABLETS--CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR HOME HAS A TOILET LEAK...NEW ESCO: SAME DEAL
Release Date: February 07, 2017

One of the most common water wasting problems in your home are toilet leaks. These leaks can rack up your water bill fast and you may not find out until you get your bill. Suez (formerly United Water) serves part of our town and they provided me with about 200 Leak detector dye tablets. You drop these tablets into your toilet tank. Wait several minutes If the toilet water turns blue the seal around the flapper is leaking water from the tank to the bowl. This type of leak is hard to detect.
Want a free toilet leak detector? Please e mail me your address and I’ll send you one.

Some residents received a note that Cca-Constellation has become their new energy services provider. Last year the town entered into an agreement with Sustainable Westchester to  enter into an agreement with an ESCO (Con Ed Solutions won the bid) fix rates for two years (rates can’t go up during the two year period).  Con Ed Solutions sold the contract to Cca-Constellation. Don’t worry. Same fixed rates. Same service guarantees. Same oversight. You don’t have to do anything.  Residents have contacted me because they received a note in the mail and wanted to know if they should worry.

There was another motorcycle fatality in Westchester yesterday. We have formed a motorcycle safety committee. The committee is meeting tonight at 8:30 PM at Town Hall. The Police Chief and I will be at the meeting. We’re planning a motorcycle safety awareness event in late April. If you are interested in joining the committee please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com
