Last week the Greenburgh Town Board held a swearing in ceremony for our new Town Justice – Bonnie Orden. NY State Court of Claims Judge Walter Rivera, who served as Greenburgh Town Judge before being appointed to the state court by Governor Andrew Cuomo, swore in Judge Orden. Judge Orden has a wealth of experience – she practiced law for 35 years, served as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn DA’s office. Was a Deputy Inspector General for the NYC Department of Investigations and Associate Commissioner of the NYC Department of Corrections. She was a special prosecutor in Westchester investigating municipal corruption and served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. Locally – she served as a member of the Edgemont School Board.
