Sat. Dec. 10 Talk on Saving Energy at Home
Release Date: December 09, 2005

“Saving Energy in Hard Times: Tips for Homeowners,” a presentation by the Greenburgh Energy Conservation Coordinator, will be given on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenburgh Public Library.

Worried about staying warm and comfortable this winter while keeping your energy bills manageable? Home heating fuel prices are expected to be as much as 50% higher this winter for natural gas, and almost as much for oil! Electricity rates are likely to rise, too. Homeowners, come learn about:

·        What you can do now to reduce home heating expenses and make your home more comfortable, including some simple no-cost and low-cost steps.

·        What financial incentives and assistance may be available to you through New York State and federal programs to help make energy-saving home improvements more affordable.

Free and open to the public. The Greenburgh Public Library (993-1600) is located at 300 Tarrytown Road in Elmsford. The presentation is scheduled to last approximately an hour including questions.
