What to do with your Christmas trees..commingled recycling Wed.
Release Date: January 01, 2019

Have a happy and healthy new year.  Now that the holiday season is over some residents have asked what they should do with their Christmas trees if they celebrated Christmas .

Place them at the curb.  No plastic bags!  We collect them as organic yard waste.  They are recycled.

REMINDER- NEW RECYCLING/GARBAGE SCHEDULE ---TOMORROW (Wed) commingled for entire town

Our sanitation schedule is different for different sections of the town. The calendar is posted on the website: www.greenburghny.com. Not sure what color calendar you should be using?  You can find out very easily by typing in your address on the site.   As indicated previously, we had prepared separate calendars for different areas of the town. The mailing house we used messed up and sent some residents two different calendars and others no calendars--which could create confusion.  We will print new calendars and send the correct one's out.  But there will be a short time period when you won't have the printed calendar at your home.

New for 2019 – changes to your recycling!

  •          Weekly paper recycling collection
  •          Co-mingled glass, metals, plastics collection is weekly on Wednesday Town-wide

The paper recycling collection day has changed.  Please refer to the links below to determine your new paper recycling day.
