PRESENTATION AT TOWN BD MEETING ON TREES
Release Date: February 07, 2006

The first item on Wednesday night’s Town Board meeting (which begins at 7:15 PM) will be a discussion: tree maintenance. During the recent storm many trees around town fell down. Some residents requested information – what action steps should they take to check up on the health of their own trees? What should you do if you feel that your neighbors tree is unsafe?  What can you do to make trees on your own property healthier and less likely to fall down?
Tom Madden of the Department of Planning will lead the discussion – which should take about half an hour. The meeting will be televised on our cable TV access channel live --- residents can phone in (dial democracy): 993-1540 if you have any questions. If you don’t have cable TV or won’t be able to attend the meeting you can view the meeting by logging on to our archived meetings section – on our web site: www.greenburghny.com. This meeting will be on our web site by Friday.  Tom has also prepared a summary of his remarks which will also be posted on our website after the meeting (under forms).
