Implement State comptrollers's opinion...Crane Road viaduct
Release Date: January 19, 2007

Last week the NY State Comptroller issued a report concerning the A & B budget. The report provided the Town Board with recommendations regarding budget allocations as it impacts the two budgets the town oversees. Yesterday I requested that the Town Board and Town Comptroller implement the recommendations of the State Comptroller and modify the 2007 budget before the town tax bills are sent out. I am hoping that the Town Board will give this their attention in the weeks ahead.

Westchester County is holding a briefing for elected officials or their representatives regarding the Crane Road viaduct (Bronx River Parkway over the Bronx River and Metro North Railroad at Crane Road in the village of Scarsdale and Town of Greenburgh on Tuesday, January 23rd from 2:30 to 4:30 PM at the County Center, 198 Central Ave, White Plains (meeting room A). This meeting is designed for town officials. Future meetings will be held for the general public. This proposed 30 million dollar project, which won't get started for at least a year,  will impact some streets in Edgemont -especially Lynwood, Sherwood because much of the work will be done in the evening -when people are sleeping.  I am sure that there will be noise, lighting issues. There will probably be some traffic related impacts. If you are interested in being kept informed of aspects of the project please advise. If a representative of the Edgemont community would like to attend the meeting as my representative please let me know. I want to make sure that the community is kept informed.   PAUL FEINER
